The Thovaad Ulangule Bejvas

The Thovaad Ulangule Bejvas is to be performed by a single magician. No tools or magickal weapons are to be used. Optimally the magician will be nekkid, and outdoors. At most the magician may implement headgear (crown, sunglasses) or some totem costumery (animal headpiece/mask, pelt). Optionally, before the working, the magician may perform some "charging" ritual : asana, pranayama, kickboxing, pure planetary energy invocations. No spirits, godforms, or other intelligent forces should be summoned. If a preliminary invocation is used, there should be no closing banishing.

To begin the ritual proper : the four corners are cleared and walled off. (There's no need for any particular four directions, just four sides of a box) At each side the magician shouts "S'ah 'm KIA!" The "S'ah" is a hissing/spitting sound, and accompanied by striking the ground, preferably open palmed. The "'m" is a hard "em" sound, accompanied by the magician raising his arms to draw up a wall, also visualized. The higher the "wall" the better. "KIA" fills the quarter with prajna/chi/kia/LVX/whatever raw and personal energy the magician best identifies with. Should be accompanied by a visualization of the breath filling the space to the wall with white/octarine light.

Once all four sides are cleared, magician assumes an erect posture in the center, using any non-invocatory/spiritist means to focus his energies. Once balanced the magician bellows his intent up, using the walls as a focus, toward the aethyr/god/etc. Intent should be a relatively short phrase, be it barbarous (bastarized Enochian being appropriate) or a sigilized mantra. The shout should empty the magician's lungs, and be accompanied by a visualization of white/octarine light being propelled upward. The light should pierce straight through any clouds, sky, past any conceivable limit to the magician's universe. It should be visible filtering back down the gravity well, sliding along the outside borders of the sky to fill the horizon. Repeat until exhausted.

To close, walk a circle, clapping, and watch the walls collapse. Sit and use a soothing chant, such as "ahm," to allow "normality" to reassert itself. (Of course, "banish with laughter" is always appropriate, if optional)

This is meant to be something of an existentialist enchantment. The magician sets off a private work space. From this space the magician coagulates and transmits his intent (dare we say Will?), without reliance on any foreign powers. The work space also being outside standard elemental/spiritual arenas, the magician is not fettered by the agendas of other intelligences or any karmic bindings. The intent is formulated in a vacuum "beneath" standard reality so as to be refined and utterly perfect. The walls, or tower, then allows it to be manifested in a hyper-real strata of possibility, filtering down like ash or sunlight into manifest reality. The magician then reenters the altered universe (now suffused with his intent), buffered by the energetic cloud formed in the tower. Gradually he is reconnected to reality. At no time did he come into contact with anything outside of his "hermetic" chamber. The main drawback here being that the enchantment is only as powerful as the magician himself.
